Time for Selichot

The days of mercy and forgiveness are a good time to stop and look at tradition and the way we pass it on to our children.

In this Film Event we will deal with the custom of the kaparot and the prayers of the High Holy Days.

Through the films we will meet two fathers in the month of Elul who are learning to accept their children, and vice versa.

Schwartzman the gabai (manager of prayer services) has to deal with his developmentally disabled son, and another father is having a hard time letting go of his daughter  as she moves towards independence.

• The encounter is suitable for events in the Hebrew month of Elul and the Jewish New Year.
